Ageing of a York Stone Patio

Ageing of a York Stone Patio

In 2019, we supplied a project in Irwene Minster who installed a gorgeous York Stone Patio. We revisited the project 3 years on to see how it's changed.

As a large country estate, it was vital that we supplied the clients with something which was in keeping with the home and looked like it had been there for hundreds of years already. Our Aged York Stone is incredibly versatile and complimented the property immensely. All quarried and cut in Yorkshire, the new quarry stones are aged by fettling and distressing the edges which artificially weather the stone, creating a great antique looking final product.

Three years on and the stone is still looking fantastic. The weathering which has naturally occurred over this time blends in seamlessly with the tile and adds to its characteristics. We can't wait to see this stone continue to flourish over time!
